Tolima Blossomcrown (Anthocephala berlepschi)

Scarce endemic hummingbird. Seems this is the new/current "go-to" site for both this species and Tolima Dove. This hummer doesn't attend feeders but the gardens are very well planted with suitable nectar source flowers. We found the first one 30 seconds after arriving! A bit late in the day when we arrived so not easy to photograph in flight.

Another gorgeous hummingbird species. This guy looks to be letting its rivals to back off. Great action and behavioral picture CBAllen!
