Sharp-nosed Torrent Frog(extinct) (Taudactylus acutirostris)

Today we are going to post a couple of Australia's extinct frogs, photographed in the 1980s,when they were still relatively common. This is the Sharp-nosed Torrent Frog,a small frog, only 2.1-2.8 cms in length, which used to live in fast flowing creeks in the mountains of Far North Queensland.
Habitat
Upland Rainforest
Location
Mount Lewis/Nth.Queensland
Date taken
1980s
Scientific name
Taudactylus acutirostris
Equipment used
Nikon,105 macro lens,flash(2)
Interesting photo, although the background is tragic. I do wonder if this was yet another vicim of the fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis? The extinction rates among some frogs really are saddening, and far beyond anything we've seen in birds (yet).
