Scottish Thistle
I was up on my patch yesterday and went looking for butterflies and damsels - absolutely zilch, apart from one of those tiny white moths with transparent wings.

However, the thistles are coming into flower now and if you look very closely at this one you'll see two flies.

They were on the front of the flower head, but by the time the wind had settled and I'd got the shot they'd moved!

I see two flies ;)! It's amazing how these flowers start out as those cyclinders and then burst into spheres. Beautiful, Delia :t:

I feel a quick burst of Flower of Scotland coming on. A lovely shot of this beautiful flower with its two passengers (I had to get my magnifying glass out for them). A great image Delia.

Yep, I can see 2 - one on the top and one to the left.
This is a beautiful flower, well done, Delia.
