Scopoli's Shearwater
The Scopoli's Shearwater is a common breeding visitor off the Maltese coasts with thousands of pairs nesting annually on cliff faces. I've had some nice experiences listening to these noisy birds calling somewhat like a baby, at night!
This species if I'm not mistaken, is being subdivided into cory's and scopoli's shearwater. In that case this would be scopoli's. This photo was taken in a boat trip where the shearwaters were observed 'rafting' in the evening.
