Red-tailed Comet - 2023-12-05 - 014.jpg (sappho sparganurus)

A stunning Red-tailed Comet feeding at a flower in NW Argentina. Definitely one of my all time favourite species of hummingbirds!!

I’ve just posted a trip report from my 3 weeks in Argentina. If you are interested you can find it here - http://tinyurl.com/bdekee3s

Cheers!

I'm so jealous - when I was in NW Argentina, we saw a Red-tailed Comet - close enough for a good shot, but I just couldnt get the bird in focus as it darted about and behind flowers.
Yours is a really great shot!!
