Long-wattled Umbrellabird
Rather bizarre yet spectacular crow-like bird with a bushy crest (it is actually a Cotinga). The male has a thick feathered wattle dangling from his throat that can be extended to an astonishing length while displaying. Found in undisturbed rainforest in western Ecuador and western Colombia, mostly seen at known display ("lek") sites (such as this one 90 minutes drive from Mindo).

An amazing bird to see but difficult to photograph as it favours the tallest trees so you're either looking straight up at the bird, or at more distant birds where the trees are lower down the hill - as in this case some 250m from our viewpoint.
Habitat
Mostly semi-open/secondary cloud forest with some isolated mature trees.
