Long-billed Dowitcher (Limnodromus scolopaceus) Besides the nominate a single subspecies has been described, fasciatus. However, it is considered to be invalid leaving only the nominate. Sexes similar. Photographed in Hazel Bazemore County Park, Calallen, Nueces County, Texas, USA. Small pond in the Nueces River floodplain at ca. 1 m (3.3 ft) elevation.
