Kites vs Sea Eagle 1 (Milvus migrans, Haliaeetus leucogaster)

OK. Here comes the short version of the Black Kites vs White-bellied Sea Eagle story. Out of 30+ shots, I've picked these three that tell the main plot. The kites were clearly not all that happy to have the Sea Eagle join them on the hunt at the fire. Here we have to wonder - was that Kite having any success in chasing the Eagle off? They're both heading away from the hills between the beach and the fire, and the Kite is harassing the Eagle but the Eagle seems to be cruising along smoothly, unfazed by the pesky Kite.

The kites have more maneuverability but the Eagle has the power !!! Nice series Doc!!! TFS!!!

LOL .... I'm sure the Eagle is thinking he can sort the Kite out at leisure.

.... or maybe not. Will have to see the next installment.
