Kite seeks updrift over Bow Street (Milvus milvus)

Just about packed for China-Japan-Italy. Enough time to do a bit more tidying up in old photo files. Here's one of the kites that soared overhead as we waited for the bus in Bow Street. It was a hot day, too hot to hike back over the hills, but a good day for kites to find updrafts ... or get chased off by smaller birds. I also have a shot of a proud pair of jackdaws celebrating having chased off one of the kites.
