Intermedia Plumeleteer
This is the intermedia subspecies of White-vented Plumeleteer (and in the past it has been assigned to Bronze-tailed Plumeleteer). In any case, an Ecuadorian birder I met could not come up with a reason why this was not this form, which is locally very rare it seems.

He looks quite unlike all the other sample images in The Opus, and I wonder if this one should be represented there too?
