Honeyeater on Red Hot Poker
Not a lot of flowers around for the honeyeaters in the middle of winter, luckily they love the pokers.

I just saw the thumbnail and thought it was just a picture of the Kniphopias. Great surprise to see the Honeyeater too. Lovely shot.

Thanks all for the nice comments. It is terrible to say but we almost see too many around here. They are dominant little birds, love a home garden, but at least can be relied upon for photo practising sessions.
