Herring gull (Larus argentatus)

On sunday morning, the weather was very bad again with gale-force wind. I went to Lorient fishing-harbour when the trawlers came back into port.One of them had got stuck on rocks outside the entrance to the harbour in the early hours of the morning (and is still there today!). The water was very choppy even inside the pool.There were lots of herring gulls wheeling above the boats.
