Hawaiian variant of Black-necked Stilt, breeding populations on Oahu, Maui, and Kauai. Black color extends further around the neck and lower on face than the NA stilt.

It clearly looks different than the "average" Black-necked Stilt. Fabulous close-up showing great colors, detail, focus, dof, and setting. Exquisite Jimmy! TFS!
