Having a rest
Some miles further on I stopped to check out two blobs in a tree - turned out to be yet another Red Kite pair!! Just a few years ago we wouldn't have seen any at all in the area and here we'd come across two pairs in a few miles.

Just amazing how they're spreading, obviously due to the release centres and the feeding centres which are/were in Aberdeen, Stirling and Dumfries. Making it much easier for them to find friends and pair up.

My best Red Kite day for many years.

Love Red Kites Delia, having seen them in mid Wales and Majorca, (and Black Kites in the Lake District) fantastic birds. Tfs!!

What fabulous news that this spectacular kite species is spreading. So many of our birds are on such a serious decline. Fabulous spot and capture of this impressive pair. TFS D!
