It does look like the same bird but it's three different ones, there were actually about seven birds in a row but I could only fit three in the frame.
I hope you didn't think it was a composite image?
 
Brilliant shot Steve, It makes me feel in the middle of a desolate marsh somewhere in Scotland. I can hear the 'greys' calling as I look at the picture.
