He looks "whiter than white" Matts LOL. A slight turn to the head and I can't make out if that's a male or female! He also seems to have white feathers on the crown, so I'm wondering if there's some leucism going on there?

That's a terrific picture lad - very well done and thanks for showing him to us.

If you inlarge the head you will see a glimpse of the red color back on the head, so it is a male 🙂. And the "white feathers" on the crown is a part of the background actually. He was digging in high speed all the time, and that is why....
