Fledgling house finch
Fledgling season in the yard: house finches arriving at the feeders for the first time without their parents. They're learning very quickly to take a position under the suet feeder, unlike their parents who prefer thistle.
Habitat
Urban and suburban areas, forest edges and open fields.
