Dawn duckling praising the sun

Dawn duckling praising the sun (Anas platyrhynchos)

Back home from Sweden. On our final mile we spotted four cranes out in a field. Husband drove out onto a tractor track and pulled up behind some hay bale stacks so I could get a closer shot. Still quite a distance, but a nice ending to the holiday. Not so nice ending was discovering that in our absence the shower door had exploded (glass sometimes does that). :eek!:

But now back to what's edited and ready. May as well make a choice, so here goes my entry for this month's comp. The underexposure was intentional to try to bring out the dawn colors reflected on the water. Wasn't going for a total silhouette effect, though. Still wanted at least a teensy bit of fluffy detail to show. Was pretty happy with this one.

Oh it's so lovely Ann - those colours in the water are just beautiful.

The ducks a wee cutie too!

Good luck with the comp.

Very fine photo showing well the light reflected on the water.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian
