Cow Tongue (Aphelandra lingua-bovis: Acanthaceae). Bosque del Ro Tigre Lodge, Osa Peninsula, Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica. About 1 km east of the town Dos Brazos de Ro Tigre. Pacific secondary rain forest at ca. 130 m (427 ft) elevation.

Wow! What a beautiful piece of vegetation this is! I've cleared out all the non-native plants from my yard but I think I could be talked into this one ;) A beautiful image Stanley.
 
A very impressive plant, although it doesn't impress me as looking anything like a cow's tongue ;)
