Common Grackle
Got 4 or 5 that come into the yard and absolutely dominate. Jays, Starlings, Doves, they all give way. Have easily twice as many Blue Jays but they don't mess with these guys. These grackles are not intimidated by any of the other yard birds, with the exception of a crow pair that drop in from time to time.

.... and there was me thinking they're black birds!!! I had no idea you could get so much colour on them.

This one looks mean enough... we have the Greater Coucals in the same list..LOL!!! But love the iridescence!!! Lovely post Bill!! TFS!!!
