Red-Backed Fairy Wren (Malurus melanocephalus)

These tiny birds frequent the costal heath where I live and share their habitat with two other species of fairy wren. They are unusual in that all other Australian fairy wren display blue (usually males only) where as there is no trace of blue on this species. This guy was watching his lady friend foraging for insects.
