Brown goshawk (Accipiter fasciatus)

I work at a large secondary college , yesterday we found a small goshawk at the base of a tree with a large abcess on its face . We captured it and send it to a vet for treatment and eventual release into the wild. I noticed the mother was in a nearby tree taking an interest in the young bird, So I brought my camera to work and sure enough she stayed for a few shots.Last time we checked the young bird was had been treated and was undergoing a course of antibiotics progressing nicely.

Beautiful portrait, capturing the patterns and colours of this stunning, young Brown Goshawk. Great work too on capturing the injured one and I hope the recovery is successful. (I think they're not as common as they seemed to be 'shrugged'-off to as and are wonderful aussie raptors)

Hoping the best for the little one and that it is back with its mum soon

Well done

Well done, both for the great shot and the care you took with the young one ...
