White-lored Antpitta
Shy antpitta of lowland rainforest in eastern Ecuador, northeastern Peru, and southern Colombia.

This may well turn out to be a new(ish) must-go-to antpitta site near Jumandy (Napo/Ecuador). This and the nearby Thrush-like Antpitta are still slightly in training mode! Fabulous birds despite the 90 minutes of absolutely torrential rain endured waiting for the first bird (the muddy track through forest turned to a muddy river by the time we headed back!).

A fabulous bird that we had to wait for well over an hour in absolutely torrential rain. The bird appeared very briefly after an hour or so before making a single "pass" through this open area (I only managed 4 decent shots in the poor light and after enduring the inclement weather!).
