A lovely shot JJ, such appealing little birds. The detail is superb.

Thirty years ago and more, I used to visit a site where, in a good year, LRPs used to breed. The area was marked off by unobtrusive wires strung between posts. Notices asked walkers to keep their dogs on a lead, but sadly that didn’t always happen. And there were other sources of unintended disturbance. A real pity as the UK breeding population was very small at that time.
