Amazonian Motmot
In my region in the state of São Paulo, even though I can find these fellows quite easily too, I never get them in the open.

Apparently that's not the case in the state of Goiás haha. I found them in the open, in the sun light, all the time there. The motmots there are not shy.

Sadly most of the time when you see them in the open like this there will be urban elements in your shot. But still, the shots are very worth it cause the light hitting these beauties make them even more amazing.

Awesome in the open close-up of this colorful and big motmot. We have some species in the US that are the same way, very hard to photograph in one area, though common and in other parts of the US quite easy and accommodating . Great picture Roynato! TFS!
 
An amazingly beautiful bird to capture, Roy! I can see why you're so pleased to get it. Interesting that their behaviour is so different from the ones you have locally.
