Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, Male
Scissor-tailed Flycatcher (Tyrannus forficatus) male. Its closing fast on the insect. I saw my last one about 2 1/2 weeks ago and now I wait anxiously for their return next spring.
Habitat
Post Oak Savannah vegetation area. Open manicured park and ball fields with some planted trees at ca. 88 m (290 ft) elevation
Location
Veterans Park and Athletic Complex, College Station, Brazos County, Texas, USA.
