Collared Palm-Thrush
This is an adult. Uncommon and locally distributed, but apparently expanding its range. I was fortunate to photograph this uncommon species in Tanzania in July 2013, but I was the only one to see it. This time our whole group got great views and photo opportunities. Formerly included in the Turdidae (Thrush family) but now considered a member of the Muscicapidae (Old World Flycatchers).
Location
Zambezi Camp, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
Date taken
03 August 2023.
Scientific name
Cichladusa arquata
