Eurasian Sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus)

Heavy crop. I wasn't set up for birds in flight, grabbed a few shots while it was still there.

Habitat
Deciduous, mixed or coniferous woodland with adjacent open country. In recent years with decreased persecution has become commoner close to human habitation and is now moving into towns. In winter often found far from woodland, hunting along hedgerows in open farmland or in coastal area

Wonderful aerial of this accipiter in flight. Showing nicely against that blue sky. Excellent stop-action! TFS John!

Despite the strong crop a pleasing aerial of the sparrowhawk.
Thank you for your kf comment. I pressed the shutter button only once and had immediately a good feeling. Sometimes do I fire a series of shots and receive closed eyes, motion blur et cetera.
