tree sparrow
came across a small group of tree sparrows today, first ones I saw since a few years, they are unfortunately rare here nowadays. Seems like he as well hadn't seen a birdwatcher for quite a while LOL.

A lovely frontal view and great facial expression! They're common here, but I don't remember ever looking at one from that angle. It's immediately moved a few places up on my list of favourite birds, and I'd liked it before already!
