Habitat
South Texas Plains vegetation area, floodplain of the Rio Grande, open area with shallow lakes in Tamaulipan thornscrub riparian at 28 m (92 ft) elevation.
Location
Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge, Pintail Lakes, south of Alamo, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA.
