Goldfinch with style

I wanted to produce an artistic shot of a goldfinch that echoed a Japanese water colour. I chose the perch to provide a curved “leading line” up to the bird and chose the background colours to complement the bird. The background is actually a poster made of a photo of out of focus bushes.
I had to wait for some time before a goldfinch perched exactly as I wanted it.
Mission accomplished.
