Common Whitethroat
Not a brilliant photo, but it's still one of my favourites because it perfectly illustrates my experience of trying to photograph this species during the 7 weeks I recently spent in Hessen (central Germany). They were all over the place in the bushes and fields near the river, but try to capture one with the camera... !

Also added this photo to illustrate the reason for my preference for the second of the two possible interpretations of the German name "Dorngrasmücke" in this thread ;) :
