I was perfectly focused upon him and as I actuated the shutter, he turned his head and then flew off. At least I got this view ;)

A good result even though the bird didn't co-operate KC! The colours are spectacular. We get some brightly coloured common birds on this side of the pond, but never blue like this, it looks truly exotic.
