Spring-Summer - 326
Spring-Summer - 326

Another
globally threatened
species that we are
fortunate to view
often in our
area ...

Their plumage acquires
lovely iridescence
during summer
... and I feel
they have the
most beautiful eyes
among storks ...

Essentially a bird of
plains they have
been spotted around
high altitude lakes
and water-ways in
China ( 12435 ft. )
and Nepal ( 11614 ft. )

They love to soar on
thermals and also known
to roll ... tumble and
dive in air ...

Watch a pair in this
plumage in the following
video-clip ...

... and a pair soaring
majestically in this
video-clip ...

You've got some lovely iridescence on him Alok and found him in a very attractive setting too.

Many thanks for showing him to us my friend.

A wonderful 'aged
quality' to this photo,
Alok; your commentary,
however, as fresh and
informative as ever.
Capital.
