Barrier Island. Mesquite thicket with open areas dominated by grass at ca. 1 m (3.3 ft) elevation.

South Padre Island Migratory Bird Sanctuary (Sheepshead). South Padre Island in the town of South Padre Island, Cameron County, Texas, USA.

I do like collared doves and we get them sometimes in the garden. A lovely shot, Stanley.

PS I think you may have missed out an e in collared in the title?

I have yet to have one of these guys in my yard. I used to get them at my old work place though

This is a beautiful closeup of this Collared-dove Stanley!
 
They were around our Hotel in Crete calling early in the morning waking us up Stanley, nice shot mate. Tfs.

These are attractive doves, don't you think Stanley. Oh OK maybe not so pretty as some of the more colourful birds you're used to seeing!;)
