View towards Muir Beach

It may not look like it from up on this particular pull-out on the road, but there is a beach down there under the cliffs. It's where Muir Creek comes out from Muir Woods. The walk down the creek to the beech is lovely, and there's a good chance of seeing Belted Kingfisher along the way, but this time I was driving and had luggage in the car, so couldn't stop in the park. Just drove on to my B&B at Pt. Reyes Station, a few miles north up the highway.

That's a stunning view Ann. Thanks for showing it to us.

I wonder of it's named after the Scottish-American naturalist John Muir? There's loads of places over here names after him too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Muir
