Rufous-collared Sparrow
Rufous-collared Sparrow (Zonotrichia capensis subsp. costaricensis) Sexes similar. As common as these birds are, especially in the highlands, I still love watching them. Photographed in the gardens at La Paz Waterfall Garden, Vera Blanca, Heredia Province, Costa Rica. Southern-slope of Pos Volcano. Submontane cloud forest at ca. 1,585 m (5,200 ft) elevation.
