Glaucous Gull (Larus hyperboreus)

Well Peeps,
I had a great day out in West Sussex yesterday, in the company of me good birding buddy BF's Aivars Kalejs. It was overcast and damp for most of the day, but we did see some good birds. We stopped of at Widewater Lagoon, between Lancing and Shoreham, where wee see 3 Goosanders, and 3 Red-breasted Mergansers. From there we moved on to Littlehampton, where we had distant views of a juvenile Kumliens Gull. Then back to Shoreham for some really close views of an adult Glaucous Gull. A pity the weather wasn't nicer, but it is still winter...Aivars has posted a video of the Glaucous Gull on BF, for any one interested.

Ah!! So this was the gal you were after yesterday eh!!!

What a great shot of this gull.... it seems you had a good day in West Sussex.

Not the best light but still a beautiful picture with good detail.
Due to some reports is the ibis a vagrant that now has found a comfortable place.
