Four-spotted Sailor (Dynamine postverta: Nmphalidae) The attractive little butterfly has a wingspan of ca. 7.0-8.3 cm (2.75-3.25 in). Photographed northeast of Liberia in Rincon de la Vieja National Park, Cordillera de Guanacaste, Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica at ca. 700 m (2,297 ft) elevation. Open shrubby area adjacent to lower montane cloud forest with scattered small active fumaroles.

I get the "four spotted" part (I assume there's two spots on each wing), but I'm struggling with the "sailor" part of the name|=)| Great capture and BF, Stanley, well done
