Willow Warbler?

Willow Warbler?

Help please I thought this was a Chiff Chaff at first but the Yellow Supercilium and whitish breast are making me think Willow Warbler ? I hope it's the latter if so it's a first! Had a great morning at Hanchurch Woods never seen so may Whitethroat juveniles.

Lovely shot, super setting. These are always difficult unless you hear them, and they are usually singing at this time of the year. Could be wrong but it looks rather like a Willow Warbler to me.

Thanks even with my Collins book I find it hard to recognise some birds, this little one wasn't singing or if he was it was carried away in the wind, Willow will do for me it would still be a newbie for my gallery.

A lovely capture of this warbler in all this foliage.I agree with Kim , I think it's a willow warbler or rather I don't think it is a wood warbler because when you look at the length of the wings compared to that of the tail, they seem rather short. A wood warbler's wings are rather long and therefore its tail looks shorter. But I am not very confident at identifying birds. I only read my guide-books very carefully.

A beautiful sunny shot, Adam. I'd agree with other's that it's probably a Willow Warbler, but whatever it is, you've caught it in a great pose and setting. Lucky you seeing all those juvie Whitethroats too :t:. Sounds like a a great morning.

Great setting and lighting, Adam, well done. (Post it in the ID section if you want a positive ID)
