Clunie Loch

This is a view looking down Clunie Loch, though there's much more of it than can be seen here, the view is blocked by an island.

You can just see the island, which has some dead trees sticking up into the sky. These are perches much used by Cormorants. There's also a ruined castle on it, which dates back to 1485.

That must be a treasured historical site dating back to 1485. Fabulous picture looking across the loch D! TFS my friend!

A lovely landscape Delia. Very evocative: perhaps a slightly chill breeze ruffling the water, and, through a break in the clouds, that band of sunlight in the far distance moving nearer... a picture like this feeds the imagination. Thank you for the narrative: yes, I can see the dead trees and the island.

I heard part of an interesting programme on Radio 4 about the health benefits of just looking at the natural world for a short time (measurable changes in stress hormones etc). You can go out for a walk and do it, but surprisingly a picture of a natural scene works too.

What a beautiful picture you got Delia Thanks for the interesting information that goes with the photo.
