Carrion Crow
Flight shots of crows never seem to work particularly well (it's difficult to capture fine plumage detail, especially against the light) but I'm wondering what this bird is carrying in its bill. It doesn't look like an acorn. All suggestions welcome.

Storm Eunice is due to hit Britain tomorrow, stay safe folks.

Good capture! With these crows one never can tell what they pick up - I have known them decorating nests with wrist watches and sunglasses !
 
no idea what it's got there, John, looks quite symmetric, good inflight capture, many tfs!!
