Brujo Flycatcher - female
our guide said this was a female vermilion flycatcher but it looks to me like a Galapagos Flycatcher. Please let me know if I've got it mislabled

Brilliant picture Beth. I believe it is a 1st year female Vermillion. Adult females have pinkish or salmon colored vents, first year birds have yellow.

Vermilion Flycatchers have been split and this bird by being from Galapagos now belongs to Brujo Flycatcher. This image has now been added to the opus page for the new species.

Given that the photographer of this image has not been seen for a very long time I will update information for this image.
