Black winged Stilts, Mallorca.

Oil on board, painted this from older sketches whilst the snow lay think on the ground outside. Maybe painting birds in the heat saves on central heating bills?

Ive mistakenly put this on the 'big photo gallery' - but its about time they saw something other than photos!

Thought this was a photo gone wrong at first! Its just great, works very well. Reminds me alittle of Pied Stilts on Baylys Beach on another hot day.
