We were very lucky to have a family of Black Redstarts nesting in the wall in our yard. This adult male was waiting for the female to exit before delivering his catch.

I appreciate the welcome both of you, thank you. I'm more of a photographer than a birder, still grappling with the complexities of my lens though and, as for birding, I'm hampered by being partially deaf, as my birder mate points out on a regular basis.......
