As mentioned with the previous posting,these trees can live up to 12000 years and are the oldest trees still growing on earth.

I was going to miss this nice shot.Your area must be humid area , in northern parts of Iran near Caspian see we see the same on trees , great shot Hans and Judy , many TFS ;)

My husband will love this shot! He has kind of a "foot fetish" for bases of old trees ;)
