Barred Antshrike (Thamnophilus doliatus intermedius) Twelve subspecies are recognized with only subspecies intermedius being mapped for Costa Rica. Species sexually dimorphic. Photographed in Nosara Biological Reserve, Nosara, Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica. Tropical dry forest at ca. 2 m (6.6 ft) elevation. Canon EOS 50D with a Canon EF 300 mm f/4L IS lens.
