This is the baby potoo a few days afterthe parents moved to other trees and left the branch top for the young bird.

Dear Delia, in the first days of life the baby potoo seems like a cotton ball with a pair of eyes and pass most of the time under one of its parents. This picture was taken just after it got too big to stay under them and got the firsts black and grey plumes. Now the camouflage is almost complete on the tail and wings but still a bit white on the head and body.
