Australian Green Ant

Australian Green tree ants,(Oecophylla smaragina), are a type of Weaver ant found in Northern Australia.
They build nests the same way as Weaver ants, i.e - weaving leaves together with the silk squeezed out of their larvae.
Note the size of the beetle compared to the ant.

The ants must have powerful muscles in their necks to lift that beetle. A spectacular capture by you and the ant.
