'Another New One for Me' (Glossopsitta porphyrocephala)

Saved the best for last!....3 in one post!.......... I have had a few photos of this little fellow but thought that it was a Juvenile Musk! until I noticed that the beak was black and not with a red section like the Musks! I took the shots in the same area as the Musks and Scaly-Breasted Lorikeets!...............So another 'Newbie' to finish the year! I have several other good shots but thought this the best to share as it shows all of the markings!Another for the shire's list I think that they should be happy!........ I do hope that you all like him and have a very Happy New Year and lots of 'Birding' for everyone!

Congrats,Nora. Must be great to have newbies around all the time. Complicated latin name for this one,must be as hard to spell as it was to get a shot of this beauty! :) Lovely pic and a Happy New Year to you. May they never end! :)

Thanks for all your comments! I couldn't believe that I had these few shots and didn't know that I had a new one! I was going to use a pic of one of these for the Xmas card but decided on the Rainbow! Thanks again!
